Anime in the Park Returns to Groveland for Another Full Day of Art, Music and Cosplay at Lake David Park
Groveland, FL (April 26, 2025) – Come out to the beautiful Lake David Park in Groveland, FL on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm for Anime in the Park, an outdoor anime convention where YOU are the star of the show.
Attendance is free and open to all ages.
This year, Anime in the Park is featuring a pop-up marketplace of local artists, food trucks, interactive panels, games, dance music, performances and entertainment. There’s a little something for everyone! Get outside, meet new friends, and be yourself.
These events blur the lines between spectator and entertainer. The amphitheater will double as both a stage and a dance floor, giving everyone a chance to shine. Anime in the Park aims to be more than just an anime convention, but rather a collective effort of hearts and minds coming together to build stronger communities.
Event organizer Daniel Dodsworth believes that “public parks are one of the last few gathering places we can call our own, and we have a responsibility to utilize them in positive ways.” He describes the framework as an incubator for spontaneous fun and collaboration, stating that these events are “a tapestry of unique talents and styles, and a place for people to both express themselves and to enjoy the expressions of others.”
Anime in the Park is on a mission to rekindle things that they believe society has lost, such as “connecting with others, being outside, existing freely, and gathering together simply for the sake of doing what is right and what is healthy.” Everyone is invited to join.
