Each mascot needs the following:
- A visual representation of the character (the image you create, along with their outfit)
- A unique name that stands for something (preferably with a Japanese word and an honorific)
- Principle (either from the NetsuCon Principles or Anime in the Park)
- Hobbies that relate to the character
- Prop items that relate the hobbies
- A city and a park (in this case it will be Miami and Kendall Indian Hammocks Park)
- Some lore and the inspiration for creating the character (we can assist with writing this part if you’re stumped)
- The artist name (which will be the winner of this contest, maybe you!)
This is more than just a graphic! This character should represent Miami and Kendall Indian Hammocks Park as you see fit. They should have a bit of lore. We can help with that if needed! Miami is a very diverse and beautiful place, so for the Principle, we suggest Representation.
Deadline to submit your work: January 12, 2026
