Wilson Island is at a critical point in the conservation process. In November 2024, Lake County voters overwhelmingly approved a $50 million bond referendum dedicated to protecting water resources, conserving natural lands, preserving wildlife habitat, and providing parks and trails. The funding has already been approved. Now the question is which lands Lake County will protect.
