Using chatbots to generate ideas creates an atrophy of imagination.
The instant hits of seemingly finished products that bypass all effort are intoxicating.
Dopamine spikes, emails are written instantly, pictures are generated without artists, knowledge is scraped from forums at the speed of bandwidth, and the human is thrown into a world where everything is possible and nothing is sacred. We use these algorithms to bypass the effort and time it takes to build skill. That alone is not the main concern. Skills should become easier to acquire as technology improves. Technology that gives back to people. The main concern is the state of mind that such a challenge-less existence creates.
A mind left unchallenged rots away.
Being lost in the moment of creativity, that actual time itself is extremely valuable. Not always so much the result. It’s the actual passage of time where we think, analyze, write, create… that’s what matters. The end result will be art or text or some form of creation. It’s never perfect, and it’s not always something we’re proud of. But the time we spend creating fills our hearts and souls with something that cannot be generated instantly. The joy of life fills up inside of us when we’re engaged deeply in something.
The trivial and instant nature of computer generated content leaves a vacuum of heart and soul.

Many people are glued to AI (artificial intelligence) and see no harm in using it.
Our stance at AITP is that we will never use AI to generate media or text.
This is not a complete condemnation of AI, but instead comes from a practical place.
We believe that people can be happier without AI, especially using it to create “art” and ideas. Our goal is to encourage everyone to engage in deep learning, to experience boredom, to make great efforts, and to develop the skills to sit with a problem and solve it.
The easy road causes pain later.
It’s like how sitting around watching tv and eating junk food feels great in the moment, but will never make you fit. AI can generate content quickly, but at the cost of our humanity.
AI seems to make people sad and irritable.
Be mindful instead.

We also believe that artists should be paid for their work, and humans should create art.
